Enhance Your 4th of July Cookout with Cannabutter
For many people the 4th of July is a holiday spent enjoying cookout’s and fireworks – and in many cases alcoholic beverages are involved. However, for those of us who prefer a safer alternative to alcohol, there are many ways to incorporate cannabis into any holiday celebration. While you can obviously spark up a joint or a bowl in celebration a holiday usually calls for something you don’t enjoy as often – and for many cannabis enthusiasts this means edibles.
There are a ton of ways you can include cannabis edibles in your 4th of July celebration – especially if you’re enjoying a cookout. One suggestion is to check out our recipe for 420 Buttery Bacon Burgers – which you would normally make in a frying pan, not over a grill. However, you can coat the burgers in cannabutter, rather than cooking them in it on a stove, and end up with the same end results at your cookout!
Another Evergreen Organix recipe you might enjoy at your Independence Day cook out is ‘Baked’ Mac n’ Cheese – a homemade baked macaroni and cheese that will melt in your mouth with cheesy goodness, and provide a great cannabis kick a little while later.
You can also use cannabutter when toasting the buns for your burgers and hotdogs – or coat veggies in it before roasting them on the grill. If you’re into making your own desserts, then that would be a perfect opportunity to include cannabutter.
One possibility is adapting our St. Patrick’s Day Pot O’ Gold Cookies, using star shaped cookie cutters instead of shamrock ones. Separate your icing into two batches – and replace green food coloring with blue in one batch, and red in another. Thanks to the versatility of the shaping of the dough and the coloring of the icing, these cookies can really be changed to fit any holiday throughout the year.
With Evergreen Organix Homemade Cannabutter you have hundreds of options at your disposal. Any recipe can easily be turned into a cannabis infused one by switching out the recommended amount of regular butter in a recipe with our homemade cannabutter. However, always ensure that everyone at your party understands which foods contain cannabis and which do not – this will ensure that no one becomes too stoned, or stoned at all, unintentionally.
Always remember, take it slow when you’re consuming edibles – and wait to see how they are affecting you before consuming more cannabis. For more information about edibles safety read our guide here.
